Human, yeah!

dnastructure I figured it was time to broach a pet peeve of mine, which is the unimportance of race.  One of the features of an advanced soul, is the ability to look at those around you as complete equals.  Equality is such a misrepresented term.  We keep hearing how everyone is so equal, but we do not allow ourselves to be equal.  Hanging on to prejudices, or seeing oneself as a victim of racism, does not allow our global society to move forward as one world, one voice.  It is easy to dismiss the thought of one world, where the only race is the Human Race, but this is how it will need to be in order for we as a planet to start moving forward together.

As silly as it is, the separation by race has impeded more innovation and caused more wars than we should have ever allowed.  I cannot even begin to list all the wars that had something to do with the differences between us.  From slavery to discrimination, we've all had some level of involvement in these bigotries, whether we were active or passive.  Right now in America, we are facing a new kind of discrimination when we think of the immigration issues.  It is so very hard to ignore all the "yellow journalism" around this topic and one can find their own opinions invariably skewed by the barrage of stories covering this issue.  In the end, you have to ask the question as to whether it truly matters.  Is the question about illegal immigration or is it about Mexicans?  Because if its about the fact that they are Mexican, than it is just discrimination.

One of the biggest improvements we can make as a global community is to eliminate the "race" designation from people.  What difference does it truly make if someone is Caucasian, Black or Asian?  It really makes no difference and most people know this, we just use it as a reason to continue our petty hatreds.  But, why do we want to hate?  Is it something we are so used to doing that we can't kick the habit? Are we addicted to being bigots?  I am not really sure I understand, other than what we are being told.  I think we are being conditioned to hate as a means of controlling the masses.  That is the only logical conclusion I can come to.  If you look at the nightly news, who are we being conditioned to hate from month to month?  Sometimes its the chinese, sometimes its the mexicans, sometimes its the blacks, sometimes its the arabs, but we could go on and on.

So, step one for us all is to begin and continue looking at the people around us as the same, regardless of color.  I spend a lot of time talking to people online, and the wonderful thing about online is that you may or may not know the color of someone's skin by typing in a chat room or running around in a virtual world. I don't think about it because it doesn't matter.

We as a people need to enforce this, stand together and say "No more!".  The best way to begin would be to have the "race question" removed from all public documents.  The less we pay attention to skin color, the more we can begin to work together to fix the very real problems facing our entire planet.  All these issues that we see in the news are not owned by one country or one people.  All these issues belong to each and every life form on this planet.  We cannot allow our petty, less-advanced views skew our creation of a harmonious reality.

I am not advocating a petition. I am not asking you to send on a chain letter to stop racism.  I am not asking you to start a riot.  I am asking you to just stop making it an issue, which mostly means just forget to look at someone's skin color.

We are the Human race, and that's all we need to know.

2012: A Wish-list

by machinist 6/1/2008 4:49:00 PM

Fractal Pattern - 2012: Pinchbeck I have now read several books on the subject of 2012 -- the end of an age as defined in the Mayan culture.  As in most generations, there is always some prophecy that foretells an impending change in life as we know it.  The study of end of days, or eschatology, is an ancient discipline that always has some new subject to study.  Though there have been catastrophic, extinction level events in the history of the planet, there have yet to be any true apocalypse to occur.  Many of the books I've read focus on the fact that we are actually long overdue for a massive event, such as an asteroid or comment, or one of the super-volcanoes to explode, such as Yellow Stone.

A couple of the books I read took a very different perspective.  There is no mention of destruction in the prophecies.  In the Mayan Calendar, 2012 signifies the end of a great cycle, and suggests more that 2012 is the signal of great spiritual transformation.  This is the type of prophecy I can sink my teeth into.  The Maya were an extremely advanced culture, with an impeccable system of time.  They were able to predict accurately the length of the year, the moon cycle, and they had also calculated a grand conjunction in 2012, where by the earth would be sheltered from the center of the galaxy for a period of time.  It is this galactic obfuscation that seems to be at the crux of the transformation, since it is unknown what will happen when we are shielded from the steady stream of influence from the galactic hub.

But does the prophecy mean anything at all?  That's the big question.  More than likely, there is no major catastrophe coming in 2012, December 21, 2012 to be exact.  However, one cannot dispute the significance of the Mayan calendar in general, due to its exactness with respect to several astronomical events slated for 2012.  This belief is no doubt instigated by the state of affairs in the world presently.  There is significant unrest across the world community.  The United States itself is embroiled in many trials that will culminate in or around 2012, such as Iraq, the Energy Crisis, the Economy, China, Korean, Iran, Terrorism.  And there are many possible natural disasters; Massive Hurricanes, Climate Shift, Asteroids, Comets, Volcanoes, Earthquakes.  Finally, there are several possible advances for human kind that could culminate in 2012; discovery of life on other planets, room temperature super-conductors, Human-like Artificial Intelligence, Cure for Cancer, Cure for AIDS.

In the event there is some great spiritual awakening, we can hope for the best.  Someone recently asked me if I had three wishes, what would they be?  One thing I've learned is that wishing solely for things that benefit only yourself is counterproductive.  One could wish for all the money Bill Gates has, or wish for beauty and fame, but in the end, what does that gain you in a world on the downward spiral?  I kept my wishes more practical, as to ensure that the world is a place someone wants to be in.

My Top Three Wishes for the 2012 Spiritual Awakening are:

  1. Enduring world peace
  2. Humans understanding their place in the universe and attaining enlightenment
  3. Personal understanding about the fabric of the universe

So take a moment today, entertain the thought that something wonderful for all of us is on the horizon [because incidentally if we all think positive, it might just come true].  Once you can picture a world without hate, hungry, misery and disease, what are your three wishes?  Because money isn't going to cut it in the long run.
